Masterson’s Tavern , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , brands itself as a fashionable, contemporary hangout, but my latest trip at this establishment resulted in an experience I’d rather forget . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I discovered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The Condition of the Premises : Filthy and Neglected Beyond Belief
From the moment I entered , it was evident that hygiene was not a priority at this bar . The floors were sticky , and a foul smell of stale beer and neglected washrooms permeated the entire pub. With a smell of a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and sickness . The main bar, which should be the main attraction of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and trash that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . Going through other patrons’ reviews and conversing with residents , it seems that the quality of upkeep a fantastic read (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a recurring complaint.
